Back to “Uberman”

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

I find myself in a situation where I am always at home, working over the internet, overloaded with new stuff to learn, advanced stuff to try and I still haven’t finished adaptation of the apartment. It is perfect time to switch to a poly-phasic sleep pattern. “Uberman” is my first choice cause it seems less stressful, although it is also less adaptive. It takes only 2 hours of sleep a day in packages of 20 minutes every 4 hours.
Based on my previous experience the best way to do it is to combine it with fasting(grapefruit, lemon juice, water), pzziz energizer audio sessions, combat conditioning exercises, trataka meditation and long walks.
Fasting gives you more energy, you need to sleep less and it cleans your body from toxins.
Pzziz is the prefect audio session tool. You can choose exactly 20 minute session and a very suggestive voice guides you through your nap and wakes you up at the end. Every session is unique so you never get bored. Yoga Nidra audio session is also very good for this. Tim Rowe’s is the best.
Different exercises help you from oversleeping while adjusting.

Baking soda experiment

Baking soda is a very versatile compound that can make your life cheaper and easier.  I have found many uses on the internet, but this is what I know to be true:

Baking soda

Baking soda

  1. It is the best deodorant. It’s far more powerful then any other product on the market. After you shower, just put some powder on your hand, add some water, apply on your armpits and that’s it. If you apply it right it can last more then 24 hours. No more aluminium cancer/parkinson causing salts.
  2. If you suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, as I do, and you experience itching in the spinal area on your back, solution of baking soda might solve the problem completely. It did not help on facial area, but I’m still working on that.
  3. If you experience a very unpleasant feeling in your teeth after eating too much junk food or just too many sweets, washing your teeth with baking soda might bring a quick relief.
  4. Same goes for your stomach. Just dilute a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water.
  5. Washing the grease is much easier with baking soda. Be aware if its not diluted it might scratch the surface of your cookware.
  6. Adding baking soda into the final process of laundry washing will significantly reduce the possibility of moldy smell and make laundry more mold resistant (especially if baking soda was not completely washed out).
  7. Making bread with baking soda makes it last longer and mold resistant.
